Who We Are
Natsu Almond Butters is passionate about infusing bold flavors into our irresistible almond butters. Founded by husband and wife duo Rob and Jana Nairn, entrepreneurs for over 30 years in Ballico located in California's Central Valley, Natsu is our spin on the Japanese word for nuts, "Nattsu." Japanese farmers settled Ballico and the surrounding area in 1919, and Natsu is an ode to those families and the generations since that we've grown up with.
In 2019, an opportunity presented itself for the Nairns to roast, flavor, and grind nuts in house, and Natsu was born. Their niche is focused on small batch manufacturing to support local growers looking to diversify into value added making their own products to share with friends and family. Natsu is the product of years of research & development, lots of sleepless nights testing new flavors, and a whole lot of love.
